Recurring Dream

No, I don’t have recurring dreams so often anymore, but throughout my childhood, I would have a dream about my family having a blondish dog but it then turning into a furry halo and flying away, somewhere in the kitchen. It was always a sad dream. My family recently having gotten a dog for the first time in almost two decades, the smell of dog brought back memories… Anyway, as a child, I didn’t think that the yellow dog every existed; I assumed it to just be my dream until I told one of my parents about it and they told me that we had a dog named Suva*. As a younger kid, around 7-ish, I think I even saw something on the ground that I thought to be the halo, though I’m fuzzy on the order of things and how big that thing on the ground was. It could’ve been a discarded condom or even a largish o-ring; I may remember things wrong and it might even be that something I saw on the ground triggered the dream. In any event,

* My father named Suva after the capital of Fiji, since he liked The Blue Lagoon, since he was/is obsessed with Brooke Shields.

New Years Resolutions

Here are my New Years resolutions. I take these things seriously. Last year, I made good on at least 6 of my 9 resolutions. They must be difficult so that there is a possibility of not meeting them if I lose track of myself but realistic, too (hence the absence of “own island in Mediterranean” and “gain ability to shapeshift”… someday, someday). Yes, I will do everything to meet these or die trying try afuckinggain.
