T-Mobile Web (formerly T-Zones) settings for Samsung/Softbank 707scii

I got me a Softbank 707scii. Some sellers on eBay actually offer gprs unlock. This means, I can surf the internet on my Japanese cell phone! So, anyone who’s trying to figure out the right settings, here they are:

Access name: wap.voicestream.com
Authorization type: Normal
User ID: [blank]
Password: [blank]
Protocol: WAP
Home URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com (I reckon this optional.. Yahoo is also good)
Gateway address: 216.155.165.050
Secure connection: Off
Log-in timeout (sec.): 90

I might add that the trick seems to be power cycling the device.

Make sure that the 707SCII you have is also GPRS unlocked (whoever you bought it from would have loudly proclaimed if it was). If it’s not GPRS unlocked, you won’t be able to get into the settings. But if it is, you’ll be able to find it in the settings menu under connections.

Power-cycling just means to turn the phone off, then back on. Just as with computers, etc.

    I hope this helps.

Hello :) I recently bought a 707SCII with sim unlocked but I really want to unlock my GPRS/HSDPA and as a result, MMS. I’ve heard that it’s possible to do and I want to know where I can get that service or software to unlock my phone that way. Since this is a 2008 article, I’m not sure if my phone is still unlockeable as I don’t know the production date/where to find it.

Would you have any idea where to find a place or the information needed to unlock it? I’ve searched on the english pages but I can’t read Japanese well so I wouldn’t know :)

    Thanks :D

(sorry for the late reply, I just now noticed your comment)
To my knowledge, no one is supplying the information on doing it yourself. A small number of people have the capability to do it so you basically have to get it from one of those people, otherwise (as far as I know), you’re screwed.
