I got me a Softbank 707scii. Some sellers on eBay actually offer gprs unlock. This means, I can surf the internet on my Japanese cell phone! So, anyone who’s trying to figure out the right settings, here they are:
Access name: wap.voicestream.com
Authorization type: Normal
User ID: [blank]
Password: [blank]
Protocol: WAP
Home URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com (I reckon this optional.. Yahoo is also good)
Gateway address: 216.155.165.050
Secure connection: Off
Log-in timeout (sec.): 90
I might add that the trick seems to be power cycling the device.
Hello Thomas,
I have a 707SCII also, and the problem iam having is, I cant get into the
browser settings to set the internet settings ? and their is no where to put
Ip addreses or URL”s ? And my phone is unlocked ? i use t-mobile also.
So any help or suggestions well be helpful , what is power cycling ?? and
how do you do that .
Thankyou , Rich
Make sure that the 707SCII you have is also GPRS unlocked (whoever you bought it from would have loudly proclaimed if it was). If it’s not GPRS unlocked, you won’t be able to get into the settings. But if it is, you’ll be able to find it in the settings menu under connections.
Power-cycling just means to turn the phone off, then back on. Just as with computers, etc.
I hope this helps.
