Firstly: "SCI-FI NOVEL"? I am offended and bewildered that I have not seen this alleged "sci-fi novel" and will continue referring to it in finger and literal quotes until you furnish proof of its existence. Seriously. Especially since you are "pretty far along" (<-- that was a genuine quote). How long has this baby been brewing?

My foremost 09 New Year's Resolution was to get my eldest sister and mother talking again, which I did beautifully.

This was a mistake.

Remember this, Thomas the Fawn, it is important to let people dig themselves out of their own graves, because if they are just standing with an unused shovel after all of your hard work, they just might hit you with it...or be killer zombies that will eat you alive without a second thought...is my betrayal metaphor becoming too transparent?

My 2010 resolutions when I solidify them (ending procrastination was not one of them) will look something like:

1. Finish Zen & Death, no matter how terrible.
2. Go somewhere I have never been before.
3. Do something worth doing with my life, something life affirming that at the same time will make strangers proud.
4. Try not to be intimidated by the superiority and complexity of Thomas' resolutions.

And certainly more equally unattainable goals to follow.
